It is possible to submit an application for the granting of the status of unemployed person or job seeker electronically in the following ways:
1) the SEA CV and Vacancy Portal (https://cvvp.nva.gov.lv), which authorizes using one of the forms of authentication of the latvija.lv portal. You must select an e-service Login for the status of the unemployed person or job seeker. An application for the granting of the status of the unemployed person or job seeker must be completed. If a person also applies for an unemployment benefit, the information required for the granting of the benefit must be completed.
2) using the online form of the official electronic address (e-address). In the correspondence section of the e-address, the SEA branch and the Application for Allowing the Status of the Unemployed shall be selected from the recipients.
3) by sending an application form signed with a secure electronic signature to the SEA branch in e-mail. Contact details of the branches are available on the NVA homepage https://www.nva.gov.lv/lv/filiales.

An unemployed person or job seeker may register in any branch of the SEA regardless of the declared place of residence
After sending an application, you may apply for an unemployment benefit by submitting an application to the State Social Insurance Agency. An application for the granting of a benefit may be sent using the “E-provision for VSAA services” available on the www.latvija.lv portal, by post or in the form of an electronic document in conformity with the regulatory enactments regarding the drawing up of electronic documents. If you apply for unemployment status on the NVA CV and Vacancy Portal, you can apply for unemployment benefit at the same time.
Receipt of services
If the person has been granted the status of unemployed person or job seeker to the SEA will determine the date when the person will have to arrive at the SEA branch in person in order to draw up an individual job search plan, provide the necessary job search support and information regarding the appropriate SEA services, which will facilitate installation at work
