The aim of the measure for prevention of unemployment "Support for regional mobility for employers" is to provide financial reimbursement of transport or rental costs for employers who provide transport for employees between their place of residence and their place of work or who provide accommodation.

Who can apply for mobility support

Employers must meet the following requirements:

  • be a merchant - a natural person (sole trader) or a commercial company (partnership and limited company) entered in the commercial register;
  • provide the employee with transport to and from the place of work or accommodation;
  • the employment relationship has been established with an employee who was unemployed before the employment relationship began, and the employee has not previously been employed by the employer;
  • the employment relationship with the employee is concluded for an indefinite period or for a period of not less than six months, and the employee's salary is at least the national minimum monthly wage but not more than three national minimum monthly wages;
  • the employer has no tax debts at the date of application, including compulsory national social security contributions, totalling more than EUR 150 in any one country;
  • no serious breaches of the conditions for the implementation of the SEA measures in the last year from the date of submission of the application;
  • is eligible for de minimis aid.

Financial aid available under the measure

Amount of mobility aid:

  • the aid is paid for the first four months from the date of the start of the employment relationship with the employee;
  • up to EUR 150 per month to cover the costs of renting a place to live or up to EUR 7 per day to cover transport costs;
  • the aid to cover transport costs is calculated by applying the methodology for calculating and applying the standard unit cost rate per kilometre and per journey for the implementation of the Operational Programme "Growth and Employment" developed by the Ministry of Finance

How to apply for mobility support?

The employer must apply within 10 working days from the date of commencement of the employment relationship with the employee by submitting the following documents to the nearest SEA branch:

  • a copy of the employee's contract of employment;
  • a copy of the rental contract if the employer provides the accommodation.

The SEA branch examines employers' applications and decides whether to approve or refuse mobility aid for the employer.

In the event of a positive decision, the employer is invited to conclude a mobility aid agreement within one month of the decision taking effect.

The funding granted under the agreement constitutes de minimis aid granted in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid.
