Preventive unemployment reduction measure "Measures for adaptation of workplaces for employed persons with disabilities at risk of unemployment"

Measure "Measures for adaptation of workplaces for employed persons with disabilities at risk of unemployment" (hereinafter - the Measure) is organised and implemented by the State Employment Agency (hereinafter - SEA) in cooperation with an occupational therapist service provider, providing an occupational therapist service to an employer - merchant or commercial company in order to adapt a workplace for an employed person with a disability, if necessary.

Objective of the measure:

Provision of jobs for disabled workers at risk of unemployment with an occupational therapist service to promote the preservation of the employability of disabled workers at risk of unemployment, to prevent the risk of unemployment and to promote sustainable employment. The measure is implemented within the framework of the ESF project "Subsidised jobs for the unemployed" No 9.1.1.1/15/I/001.

Employers who can apply for the Measure:

  • Individual merchants;
  • Commercial companies (partnerships and limited companies).

Financial support to the employer for the implementation of the Measure:

One-off grant for the purchase of machinery and equipment and the production and purchase costs of technical aids to adapt workplaces for disabled people at risk of unemployment. The grant is awarded according to the estimate submitted by the employer for the adaptation of the workplace, in accordance with the occupational therapist's opinion, up to a maximum of EUR 1,000 per workplace adaptation (including delivery and installation costs).

The grant is awarded to the employer within the framework of Commission Regulation 1407/2013 (De minimis support).

How can an employer apply for the Measure? 

  1. step
    • The completed application is submitted in person or sent by post, or signed with a secure electronic signature, to the branch of the SEA in whose service area the workplace of the employed person with a disability is located.
  2. step
    • The SEA branch organises a selection committee for the implementers of active employment measures, which examines the employers' applications and decides to approve or reject the implementation of the Measure.
  3. step
    • The SEA branch informs the employer in writing about the decision and, in case of a positive answer, invites the employer to conclude a contract for the implementation of the Measure within 10 working days from the date of entry into force of the Commission's decision.

The Commission evaluates the applications submitted by the applicants in accordance with the Regulations of the Commission for Selection of Active Employment Measures Implementers of the Branches of the State Employment Agency.
